Renewing Your Visa

The following are links to the Student application form and to Assessment level information sheets. These documents will help students to know what documents are required to lodge their application.
 
 
The fee for lodging a student visa is $430.00.
 
Following information lists the documents required for each Assessment level.
 
Student visa holders applying for a further student visa in Australia will not automatically be required to provide evidence of funds however officers retain the discretion to request supporting financial documents where they require further evidence. Applicants will be advised on a case by case basis if they are required to provide further information.

Finance - Evidence (Bank statement etc)  that they can meet expenses for the first 12 months and Declaration on page 12 of student visa that they can meet the expenses for the remainder of their  stay   beyond the first 12 months (course fees, living costs, schools costs and travel costs)
 
Level 3

Medical Examination - Forms 26 and 160 (if Medical Examination was completed within the last 12 month the student is not required to re do them)
Finance - Evidence (Bank statements etc) that they have funds for 24 months ($24,000) and the course fee.
Declaration on page 12 of student visa that they can meet the expenses for the remainder of their stay beyond the 24 months (course fees, living costs, schools costs and travel costs). 3 months of saving history is required.
English requirement
IELTS min score 6.0 or 5 years of study in approved country (Australia, NZ, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa) or if fully funded and meets provider requirements.
 
Level 4
Student application Form

Medical Examination - Forms 26 and 160 (if Medical Examination was complete within the last 12 month the student is not required to re do them)
Finance - Evidence (Bank statements etc) that they have funds for 36 months ($36,000) and the course fee.
Declaration  on page 12 of student visa that they can meet the expenses for the remainder of theirstay beyond the 36 months (course fees, living costs, schools costs and travel costs).
6 months of saving history is required.
Funds provided must be by the applicant or immediate relative or aunt/uncle who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident (Evidence of relationship must be provided).

English requirement
IELTS min score 6.0 or 5 years of study in approved country (Australia, NZ, USA, UK, Ireland, South  Africa) or if fully funded and meets provider requirements.

Students from Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Pakistan and Syria are also required to provide the following documents:
 

Full Employment History;
Full Tertiary History;
Full list of publications, including co-author; and
Full list of conferences/seminars attended.
