THERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT AND URGENT THINGS TO DO !Open a bank account: Banks on campus are: the Commonwealth Bank ; Credit Union and National Australia Bank take your passport with you banking hours are Monday to Thursday, 9.30 am until 4 pm; Friday, 9.30 am until 5 pm. For more information about banking click here Contact your family: Phone cards can be purchased at the Newsagent and computer shop located in the Union Building. There is a computer available at the IEO with internet access, and another located in the Student Association. What accommodation arrangements have you made? The University Accommodation Service is located at Brian Lewis Crescent in Building no. 77. Telephone- (02) 6125 1100 or Email UAS Notify ANU’s Student Administration of your new address within 7 days of enrolment: This can only be done through ISIS (http://students.anu.edu.au/) after you have enrolled. Once you have enrolled, activate your student e-mail account: This can be done at the “Info Place”, 3rd floor Chifley Library . IMPORTANT information regarding your enrolment, visa matters, university events and programs is sent to this email account only. It is YOUR responsibility to check your student email account regularly. Get to know the campus: Go on one of the campus tours during orientation week. Familiarise yourself with the city and go on a self-guided walking tour Register for the Canberra Bus Tour: Which is on Wednesday 15 July 2009. You can do this at the Orientation day on Monday 13 July 2009 and find out where you can buy food, second hand furniture and see some of Canberra’s sights. Attend the Orientation on Monday 13 July 2009 and attend our free BBQ lunches at midday Friday 10 July to Friday 17 July.
