The information on this page is designed to help you understand what is involved in becoming an ANU student. The Ready, Set, Go formula provides easy-to-follow links to information about what the ANU has to offer, details you need to consider before making an application, and how to prepare to begin your studies at ANU.

What do you want to study? The best way to find out what we offer is to look at Study@ANU.

ANU Staff participate in overseas visits, where they welcome the chance to talk to prospective students.

There are also many agents and representatives of ANU in many countries who can advise you.

You can look at PDF versions of some of the publications we produce for prospective students.

The student profiles tell you what current students have to say about ANU.

The cost of studying is always an important issue. Checking the course fees and the support available through our scholarships and international aid.

 

These links lead to information about the application process, including what you require to become an ANU student.

Before you apply, make sure you meet the academic requirements of your chosen course. Check the program details on Study@ANU for the specific requirements.

You also need to meet our English language requirements. If your English skills are not good enough, you may be interested in the programs offered by ANU College.

If you meet the requirements, then you may make an application. As well as submitting an online application, it will help if you understand the application process.

At this point, you also need to understand your obligations as far as health cover, through the compulsory Overseas Health Cover program.

It's not too soon to start looking for somewhere to live. The University Accommodation Service is the best place to begin.

ANU staff visit some countries to conduct pre-departure events, to help you prepare for life at ANU.

You can arrange to be met on arrival in Canberra, as part of our meet and greet program.

The next step is to enrol. The best preparation is to read the enrolment procedures.

Soon after arriving, you can attendOrientation, Orientation the most important event for new students.

 

It is also important for you to understand the rights and responsibilities which cover your time as a student in Australia.
