Graduate Research in Sociology at ANU is conducted by staff at several locations on campus, including the Faculty of Arts, the Research School of Social Sciences, The Australian Demographic and Social Research Institute, the Contemporary China Centre, and the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health.

Getting Started

Before making a formal application, you should submit a 200-300 word statement regarding your area of research interest to the convener at: sociology.gradprog@anu.edu.au You should also attach a transcript or your academic record(s).

There are only a very small number of international graduate research scholarships available at ANU each year (see www.anu.edu.au/graduate/scholarships). These are only awarded to outstanding students (e.g. ranked in the top 5% of applicants) and are extremely competitive.
