Graduate Research in Chemistry - Scholarships
Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
These scholarships are available for PhD and Master degrees by research and cover the full tuition fee for overseas students. Graduates from all countries except citizens of Australia and New Zealand are eligible.
Please note that overseas students need two scholarships to support their study for a PhD degree - an ANU PhD Scholarship which provides the living allowance and an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship which provides for the compulsory tuition fees.

ANU PhD Scholarships
Stipend Scholarships
Provide a living allowance of A$19,616 (2007 rate) per annum (tax free), plus grant for travel to Canberra. Tenable for three years of full-time study. Australians, New Zealanders and all overseas nationals may apply. There is no closing date, apart from that for international students.
Applicants for scholarships should hold, or expect to hold, a bachelor's degree with at least upper second class honours or equivalent from a recognised university.
Subject to satisfactory progress, a scholarship is tenable for the period of the PhD course, normally three years.
Applications may be made at any time, but the closing date for overseas students who need an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship to pay for their tuition fees is 31 August.
Australian Postgraduate Awards
The Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training makes available each year awards for full-time study leading to a higher degree. These awards are available to Australian and New Zealand citizens and to people from overseas who have permanent residence status in Australia, provided they have residency in Australia prior to the closing date for applications. These scholarships are offered at The Australian National University only to applicants intending to undertake courses leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
The awards in 2007 provide a basic stipend of A$19,616 per annum (tax free).
The closing date for year 2008 awards is 31 October 2007.

Supplementary scholarships for PhD Scholarship holders in Chemistry at the ANU. Applications for year 2008 scholarships will close on 31 October 2007.
