"Sustainable Heritage Development programs are for people who are working, or interested in the arts, culture, heritage, environmental and developmental fields and wish to pursue further studies, professional development or research from the workplace.

The programs are unique in the world as they bring together leading international educators, trainers and professionals to participate in the flexible delivery of the courses using both on-line tuition and fac-to-face intensives.

The programs are interdisciplinary, focusing on the protection and promotion of movable and immovable, tangible and intangible heritage resources as well as creative and culture in development industries within the framework of sustainable development.

Master of Science specialising in Earth Physics'

Presenter: Dr. Paul Tregoning

"The Master of Science (specialising in Earth Physics) is a graduate degree for students from all areas of the physical sciences. The degree is predominantly coursework and includes a research project. Students will learn about seismology, geodynamics, geodesy, geophysical fluid dynamics as well as receiving a broad exposure to exciting new areas of Earth Sciences. The Master of Science degree can be taken as a 1-year full-time degree or 2-year part-time degree."

Opportunities in the field of International Relations, and Peace & Conflict Studies

Presenter: Dr. Heather Rae

"Dr. Rae will outline what a postgraduate coursework program in international relations has to offer, where it might lead and how it is organised. She will also explain the "Peace & Conflict" specialisation, which can be incorporated into the Master of Arts (International Relations), Master of International Affairs, Graduate Diploma in International Affairs and Master of Diplomacy/ Master of Arts (International Relations) program. This specialisation entails study in both Canberra, at the ANU, and Norway at the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO)."

In this presentation, Prof. Byrne will give an overview of the Master of Nuclear Scienc, a program which provides a pathway for graduates to acquire skill and renew or extend understanding of the current issues in nuclear science and technology."

 

ANU MEDICAL SCHOOL

Admissions to the Medical School

Presenter: Ms. Marina Lukatela

"The talk will focus on the entry requirements for admission to the ANU Medical School for domestic and international garduate students. It will outline the Rural Program. It will also provide an overview of the structure of the course including typical weekly activities in Years 1 and 2, and the clinical rotations in Years 3 and 4. Finally, it will review the teaching facilities."

GRADUATE STUDIES IN STRATEGY & DEFENCE

Presenter: Dr. Brendan Taylor

"This presentation will introduce teh Graduate Studies in Strategy & Defence Program, based at the ANU's prestigious Strategic & Defence Studies Centre. The program offers Masters and Graduate Diploma qualifications in strategic studies.

The presentation will cover the extensive range of strategic studies courses on offer, from Asia-Pacific security and Australian defence to terrorism and intelligence; the array of expert scholars who contribute to the program; new scholarship possibilities for both international and domestic students; options for full and part-time students; and the wide range of career choices our graduates have on offer."
