ANU PUBLIC FORUM: BURMA / MYANMAR UPDATE 2002

This is the 4th Burma/Myanmar Update and reflects the growing interest in Burma. The Update seeks to bring together academics, students, members of the Australian-Burmese community, journalists, members of the diplomatic community and individuals interested in substantive examination of contemporary issues facing Burma/Myanmar. The conference follows the successful Burma Update 1999. It focuses on current developments and future prospects in Burmese politics and economy.

Entry to the Forum is free and open to the public.

Emily Rudland - Health, HIV and the State in Myanmar
David Kinley - Human Rights Training and the Myanmar Government
