ANU arts and music on display in Melbourne
The artworks and musical performances of students from The
Australian National University's School
of Music and School of Art will go on display in Melbourne on 28-29
August 2001.
The 31@20 exhibition by the ANU's
School of Art celebrates the outstanding work produced over the twenty
year history of the School's Gold and Silversmithing Workshop. Thirty-one
past and present staff and students from the Workshop are represented
by finely crafted artworks ranging from intricate jewellery to large scale
objects and design works.
The ANU is proud to present the exhibition 31@20 in Melbourne
on it's return from a highly successful tour of Germany, Taiwan, Canberra
and Perth. The works on display in 31@20 represent the diverse approaches
of the artists, their exceptional technical skills and creative engagement
with gold, silver, stainless steel, anodised aluminium, polyester resins
and natural materials.
