< US Development Office – G’Day USA 2009 Events Professor Andrew MacIntyreAndrew MacIntyre is Professor of Political Science and Dean of College of Asia and the Pacific at The Australian National University. Andrew's priority is creating a College that brings together the full portfolio of expertise on Asia and the Pacific at ANU. His research focuses on the political economy of Southeast Asia and Australian foreign policy interests in the Asia-Pacific region.Andrew is Convenor of the Australia-Indonesia Governance Research Partnership, an active participant of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue and sits on the advisory boards of the Asian Development Bank Institute and the School of Government, Victoria University in New Zealand. He is a member of the National Council of the Australia Pacific Economic Cooperation Committee (AusPECC), the NSW State Council for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) and Honorary ACT President of CEDA. In 2006, Andrew was the recipient of the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for contributions to the promotion of relations between Japan and Australia. Andrew has served as a consultant to government institutions and companies in Australia, the United States and China as well as international agencies such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Secretariat.
