Is there a Style Guide?A current Style Guide is available (on request) providing clear guidelines on the basic appearance of the University's external materials (publications, websites etc), including usage of the new logo and the corporate font. This will assist us in protecting our corporate identity and to work consistently in the way we represent the ANU. Please contact the Publications Coordinator, at publications@anu.edu.au for further information. Can I use our in-house designers?Yes. Any designer that has been briefed on the Style Guide and approval processes can do work for you. Whilst designers are briefed on aspects of the Style Guide and approvals process, it is the primary responsibility of areas to seek approvals as outlined in the ANU delegations. Is there a preferred suppliers list for graphic designers? We do not have preferred suppliers. For a list of graphic design firms that have been briefed on the style guide and approval processes, see the service providers list on the MAC website. Where do I get the ANU logo?Logos are available from publications@anu.edu.au. Logos are generally issued in EPS format that includes the required exclusion zone around the logo (see Style Guide). When requesting a logo, please provide information on the type of logo required, colour/greyscale, positive/reversed type, print or web etc. What can I do with sponsor logos?Sponsor logos may be used, however they must not compete with the ANU logo or style. What can I do with partner logos?Depending on the degree of involvement of the partner, partner logos and design of promotional materials may require a complete redesign or only a mention, much like a sponsor. Please contact the Publications Coordinator, at publications@anu.edu.au for further information. How do I update my area's website? The University's website templates are available for use and the redesign will ensure consistency on all ANU webpages with the overall corporate image. To obtain the new ANU templates contact the DOI HelpDesk. Corporate Information Services (CIS) can also provide advice on which type of template would best suit your IT environment and will also supply technical documentation for these templates. We ask that you show us your completed website before it is migrated to production. Email to publications@anu.edu.au Any queries related to the look of the website can be directed to webstyle@anu.edu.au and any queries relating to how to use the templates should be directed to DOI.Helpdesk@anu.edu.au. For websites that are hosted by the ANU, but do not contain ANU content, an acknowledgement of ANU contribution should be in the footer eg "This site is hosted by The Australian National University" Where an ANU website is hosted externally ie does not have "anu.edu.au" in the address, the ANU logo only is to be used on the pages. Does my area have to use the ANU web templates?Yes. All areas should update their sites into templates. What is the corporate font? The corporate font is Adobe Rotis Semi Sans. It should be used for all marketing materials and must be used when producing materials for an external audience. Where do I get the corporate font?Single-machine licences for either Mac or PC are available for $30. Send your contact details, computer ID and charge code to publications@anu.edu.au.
