Participants in the forum take some time out near the Pauline Griffin Building.

The Forum exposed them to successful young people currently working in areas such as law, medicine, science, media, business, the arts and the community sector.
Speakers at Llewellyn Hall included Harry Eeman, a doctor from the Canberra Hospital, Jason Glanville from Reconciliation Australia and Trish Harrup from the Conservation Council.
Nino Bogojevic from Karrabah High School is school captain and aspires to become a leader after school. For him a good leader has to be positive, be able to lead and be open-minded. “My parents are my role models. They are from a non-English speaking background and hence have faced considerable challenges in their life. It has never gotten them down though.”
Moss Vale High School sent their entire Year 12 class to the forum. Brendan Nicholas said, “This is a great opportunity for me to hear from inspirational people. I very much hope to make a difference in life.”
Travelling down from Oxley College in Bowral in the Southern Highlands were John Downes, Cameron McKinnon, Claire Bailey and Conor West. Having attended a leadership course at their school the Future Leaders Forum was affirmation of what they needed to do to make a difference in life. “I think Helen Keller and Jane Austin are absolutely inspirational women” says Conor, while Claire looks more towards ordinary people for inspiration. “I met a young cancer patient once while on a visit to hospital. She was fabulous – so positive and always trying to lead and inspire other children. Now she is someone that inspires me.”
