ANU academics made a splash in Washington D.C. and New York City in January, bringing their perspectives on ‘The Energy of Asia’ to the G’Day USA celebrations.

Two roundtable discussions on Australian perspectives on energy, climate change and the world’s most dynamic region were moderated by Nobel laureate and ANU almnus Peter Doherty, provoking lively interchanges with audiences.
The eight ANU panellists were from the ANU Colleges of Science, Asia and the Pacific and Engineering and Computer Science. Vice-Chancellor Ian Chubb attended to open each session.
Audience members at the Washington D.C. event included staff of Congressional offices, the US Federal Government and NGOs including the World Bank.
The events were organised by Peggy Daroesman, Director of the University’s US Development Office.
