Alumni & Friends

Whether you’re a graduate of ANU, the parent of a graduate, or simply someone interested in supporting ANU as it grows and develops, there are a number of ways to be involved with ANU.

Alumni

The ANU Alumni Relations Office adds value to the ongoing relationship between Alumni and ANU. The office fosters the University's relationship with its Alumni – graduates and friends, as well as current and former staff. We have over 30,000 members in Alumni Networks, in 115 countries around the world.

Appeals

Graduates of ANU are invited to join our growing band of supporters and help us in maintaining our objective of being of enduring significance in the life of the Nation as a whole, as our founding fathers hoped.  Despite these lofty ideals, we remain committed to the principle that we should be accessible and affordable to our students.  Your gift will help others enjoy the access to this great institution that you have.

Bequests

A bequest is a powerful way of assisting ANU long into the future. Making a provision in your will does not affect your income during your lifetime. However, such a gift will benefit many lifetimes of students, teaching staff and researchers and contribute to advancements that serve present and future generations.

Endowment

To mark the 50th Anniversary of The Australian National University, the Council at its 1 August 1996 meeting established the Endowment for Excellence. The Endowment is a group of funds whose capital will be preserved and maintained in either nominal or real terms with only the residual interest earnings being available for worthwhile activities. It provides the opportunity for alumni, staff, benefactors and the wider community who share the University's aspirations to support it in a variety of material ways.
