Ionizing Radiation Machines

Provider: Human Resources, OHS Branch

The program reviews the facilities, equipment, procedures and techniques necessary for the safe use of machines that produce ionizing radiation, including fundamental health physics, detection, control techniques, disposal, emergency procedures and legislation.  Participants are provided with a comprehensive set of notes detailing the ANU's work procedures.  A competency assessment exam is conducted approximately one week after the tutorial is held.
