Electrical - Australian Design Standards for Safety in Electrical Work and Equipment

For those who are existing category 1A or 2 competent persons seeking to upgrade and become category 1C approved by their Budget Unit, and under the ANU's Hazard Management Procedures for Electrical Safety, to certify electrical equipment.

Or

Persons wanting to become a category 3 trained person approved by Budget Unit to work on electrical equipment, who may in the course of their work design, modify/repair electrical equipment under technical supervision.

All new equipment designed or modified in the ANU is required to undergo the design certification process.  The training forum will offer useful guidance in judging compliance with relevant Australian Standards for equipment designed in a research/teaching environment, to fulfil the requirements of Section 6 under the ANU’s Hazard Management Procedure for Electrical Safety.
