This course provides background knowledge as well as contemporary information and guidance about risk assessment and control in a biological laboratory context.

Three tutorials are run for this course throughout the year. The tutorial consists of talks from a variety of specialists, covering the material in the notes.

A competency assessment is compulsory for all participants.  An assessment is held one week later. A certificate is issued to participants who demonstrate a competent understanding of the course.
