Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Session

The Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Session is a 2.5 hour session introducing the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy to the University community.

The Session covers:

Rationale of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy
History of Aboriginal employment in NSW and the ACT
Traditional beliefs and practices of Aboriginal people in NSW
History of disadvantage faced by Indigenous Australians
Best Practice advice for supervisors and colleagues of Indigenous Australians

Sessions can be held for 10 – 30 staff members.

Log on to the training catalogue at http://training.anu.edu.au/default.asp or through ANUBIS (HORUS). The course code is HRICA1. You will need to select which session you wish to attend.

Alternatively, a session can be arranged for your area if you have sufficient participant numbers.
