Part Eight – Ceasing Employment
56. Resignation
56.1 A staff member must give the University the period of notice of resignation specified in his or her contract of employment, or at least 2 weeks’ notice, whichever is greater. A shorter period of notice may be agreed by the delegate.
56.2 Where a staff member resigns before completing 3 years’ service or the agreed term of a fixed term appointment of less than 3 years, a pro rata refund of the cost of travel and removal expenses made upon appointment may be required.
