51. Ceasing Employment and Notice Periods

51.1 The employment of a staff member with standard or fixed term employment will be terminated in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and provided with the corresponding minimum notice period specified in the following tables.

51.2 Notwithstanding 51.1 the University may also terminate a general staff member’s employment where loss of a licence or qualification results in the staff member becoming incapable of performing the duties of his or her position for an unreasonable period of time.  In such circumstances, the University will redeploy the staff member wherever practicable.

51.3 Where a fixed term Employment Agreement expires and the staff member will not be offered continuing employment, the following notice periods will apply:
