28. Personal Leave

28.1  Personal leave is provided for the following circumstances:   

(a)  Sick leave for general staff for personal illness;

(b)  Carer’s leave for general staff to care for an immediate family member who is ill, injured, incapacitated, or to provide related care for a medical condition subject to a medical practitioner’s certificate;

(c)  Bereavement leave for an immediate family member;

(d)  Cultural leave; or

(e)  Other compassionate or appropriate grounds as determined by the delegate.

28.2  The entitlements for this clause are detailed in S4.2.
