18. Incremental Salary Progression

18.1  Progression through an incremental structure within a classification requires the staff member’s acquisition of new skills, experience, knowledge and satisfactory performance against agreed performance objectives. Supervisors will provide reasonable assistance and opportunity to staff members to achieve incremental salary progression.

18.2  A staff member is eligible to be paid an increment on the anniversary of commencement in the relevant level, subject to continuous 12 months service (subject to S4.6) and except where action under clause 46 or 47 has been taken.
