Part Two - Employment

11. Employment - General Principles

11.1  Nothing in this Agreement limits the number or proportion of staff the University may employ in a particular type or combination of employment offers which may include a scheme that may or may not be subject to statutory requirements, as set out in Schedule 1.

11.2  By not limiting the type or combinations of employment, the University may offer employment that promotes career-principled employment for staff and/or affirmative action or positive discrimination when employing or creating release opportunities for equity groups.

11.3  The University will advertise vacancies in such a manner as it deems fit, including internal advertising with appropriate response time, except where the Director, Human Resources authorises otherwise, including for the transfer of staff to suitable vacant positions during redeployment.
