Part One — Operation of Agreement

6. Closed and Comprehensive Agreement

6.1 This Agreement encompasses and deals with all matters provided for herein during its operation. The parties to this Agreement agree that there will be no further claims during the operation of this Agreement for its nominal life except where permitted by the Agreement.

6.2 This Agreement supersedes and replaces in its entirety any previous certified agreement covering employment with the University.

6.3 This Agreement operates to the exclusion of and wholly replaces any award (existing or future) of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission and any industrial agreement which may otherwise, but for this clause, apply to those staff whose employment falls within the scope of this Agreement. In particular, the Agreement displaces the following awards, and any successor awards, as varied from time to time:

6.3(a) Australian National University Employees (General Conditions of Employment) Award 1980;

6.3(b) Australian National University Staff (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2004;

6.3(c) Australian National University Maintenance Staff (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2004;

6.3(d) Australian National University Engine Drivers, etc. (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 1981;

6.3(e) A.N.U. Administrative, Managerial and Executive Staff (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2004;

6.3(f) AMWU — A.N.U. Printing Staff (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2004;

6.3(g) AMWU - A.N.U. Technical Staff (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2004;

6.3(h) AWU — A.N.U. Gardeners etc (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2003;

6.3(i) Higher Education Academic Salaries Award 2002;

6.3(j) Higher Education Contract of Employment Award 1998;

6.3(k) Higher Education General Staff Salaries and Classifications Award 2002;

6.3(l) Higher Education General and Salaried Staff (Interim) Award 1989 (HEGSS);

6.3(m) LHMU — A.N.U. Hospitality (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2004;

6.3(n) LHMU - A.N.U. Cleaners, Security Officers, Etc. (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 2004;

6.3(o) National Training Wage Award 2000;

6.3(p) Teachers (English Language Centres of Australian Universities) Conditions of Employment Award 1998;

6.3(q) Tertiary Education Superannuation Scheme - Superannuation Award 1988;

6.3(r) Transport Workers — A.N.U. (Specific Conditions and Salaries) Award 1982;

6.3(s) Universities and Post Compulsory Academic Conditions Award 1999.
