Indigenous Job Seekers

The Australian National University is committed to further developing the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy to achieve a workforce reflective of the Australian population.

As part of the ANU Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy, the University has introduced a number of initiatives.

Indigenous Traineeship Program

The University has 12 traineeships positions to start in July 07.
Applications now closed.

Casual & Short-Term Vacancies

JobMatch is a register of interested job seekers that is regularly used to provide applications for casual and fixed-term administration, reception and personal assistant vacancies in a number of areas.  JobMatch also aims to match quality staff from diverse backgrounds, in particular Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and people with disabilities, with vacancies arising at the ANU.

External Vacancies

For a list of external positions and information on how to apply, go to ANU Jobs.

Internal Vacancies

All Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people can submit applications for any available positions.  This includes internal vacanices that are normally reserved for current staff and students.  This allows job seekers not currently employed with the ANU to apply for all current vacancies.

It is important to indicate your Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander status on the Job Application Cover Sheet or your application for internal vacancies will not be accepted.  For external vacancies, it is still important to indicate your Aboriginal & Torres Strait status on your application form.

Internal positions can be obtained by emailing the Senior Consultant Indigenous Employment.  If there is a vacancy you would like to apply for, please email the Senior Consultant Indigenous Employment, quoting the Reference Number, for selection documentation.

Assistance with Applications

The Senior Consultant Indigenous Employment is available for assistance with any application, interview preparation, and any general queries about employment opportunities for Indigenous job seekers.

We look forward to receiving your application.
