NEW Initiative

Indigenous Traineeship Program 2007

9 trainees have commenced with the ANU through the Indigenous Traineeship Program (ITP) in July 2007. 7 trainees will study in Business Administration, 1 in Information Technology, and 1 in Library Services.

Areas hosting the trainees include Division of Registrar & Student Services (2), Human Resources Division (2), Research School of Chemistry, College of Science, National Centre of Epidemiology & Population Health, Division of Information (2).

The Indigenous Traineeship Program will be repeated in 2008. You can register your interest in hosting a trainee by emailing Indigenous.employment@anu.edu.au

Participant Information

Selection Criteria

Are an Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander person
Have completed Year 10, Certificate II or 1-2 years work experience
Have good communication skills
Have the ability to work in a team
Have the ability to solve basic problems
Can demonstrate the willingness and ability to learn and apply new skills to their chosen field/s
