General Description:

Local Area Actions and Decisions (consistent with internal practice):
  • ANU policies and procedures should be followed at all times.
  • Areas may prepare their own Contracts of Employment provided they have received the appropriate training from Recruitment.
  • Hire dates entered on ESP HR.
  • For complex and/or sensitive matters, areas should seek advice from Recruitment prior to taking action.
Central (HR Division) Processes:
  • All job advertisements must be submitted to the HR Division for placement.
  • Recruitment staff will prepare Contracts of Employment unless alternative arrangements have been negotiated.
Forms: Send form or notification to:
  • A number of forms and pro-forma letters can be used during the Recruitment and Selection process. They are available here
  • Contracts of Employment and Letters of Offer are available on the HR web site here and are password-protected. Areas wishing to obtain the password and prepare their own contracts should contact their relevant Recruitment team.
