Casual Staff

General Description:

When considering the employment of casual staff, check that the period of employment, work pattern and circumstances are in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.

The Casual Employment Office (CEO) provides general staff on a casual basis to all areas of the ANU. This is achieved through matching qualifications, skills and abilities of applicants registered with the CEO with the requirements of casual positions.

Local Area Actions and Decisions (consistent with internal practice):
  • ANU policies and procedures should be followed at all times.
  • Areas may prepare their own Contracts of Employment provided they have received the appropriate training from Recruitment.
  • Hire dates entered on HRMS.
