Purpose

To provide high quality human resources services which support ANU goals.

Role

The central Human Resources Division provides a range of operational and advisory services which enable the ANU to attract, retain and develop outstanding staff who are committed to the achievement of excellence and the value of the Australian National University as follows;

  • Policy development advice to the executive and service managers on long term future related human resource policy and best practice human resources strategies.
  • Staff employment and salary services including recruitment, appointment, payment of salaries, leave, superannuation, performance management and general conditions of service
  • ­Workplace consulting services to managers including management of change, leadership and management development, staff development and training, job classification and remuneration
  • Information and workforce planning services to assist managers to predict and take action on future workforce needs

Objective

We will work together with Colleges and Divisions to nurture the talent and spirit of ANU staff so as to enable all staff to perform at their best
