The Centre for Continuing Education is the not-for profit outreach arm of ANU. Its role is to develop and maintain ANU as a leading provider of lifelong learning opportunities in community, workplace and professional education. Four main programs of short courses are presented each year in the areas of Continuing Education, University Preparation, Visual Access Art/Open Art and Professional Development.

The Drill Hall Gallery supports the arts in the Canberra region by providing link exhibitions developed in conjunction with the University's wide ranging academic interests or to coincide with major conferences and public events. National and international exhibitions, and works from the University's own extensive collection, are features of the Gallery's program.

Throughout the year ANU opens its doors to the public for insightful and informative public lectures. Speakers include ANU researchers and prominent figures from around the world. Lectures are free and give the public a unique opportunity to learn more about subjects from experts who are leaders in their field.

The ANU campus is home to more than 40 sculptures that complement the University’s natural and built environment and its creative atmosphere. Some of the sculptures are nearly fifty years old, but the collection is a living, growing one with new works commissioned regularly. Staff, students and visitors are encouraged to walk among these world-class artworks and enjoy this striking collection.
