In Singapore and Malaysia, orientation sessions are conducted for students before they leave home. These Pre-departure Briefings are for students who have already  accepted an offer or are considering an offer to study at ANU.
The briefings include information on the following issues:
- Travelling to Canberra, and being met on arrival
- On-campus accommodation and the private rental market
- Adjusting to Canberra and the Australian life style
- How to obtain support
- Working and study
- What to bring to Australia and what to leave at home
This is an excellent opportunity to make friends with your fellow students before you arrive, and to become involved in clubs and societies.
Malaysian Pre-departure Briefing
Students and their families are invited to the Pre-departure briefing to be held in Kuala Lumpur. The details are:
