Australian Development Scholarships (ADS)

ADS are offered in two categories: Public and Open/Equity. The government or employer in a partner country nominates candidates for scholarships in the public category. Individuals may independently apply for a scholarship in the open/equity category, subject to any country-specific selection and eligibility criteria. Students have to apply them in their home country.

PhD, Professional Doctorate by Research, MPhil. (as well as postgraduate coursework, and some undergraduate programs as approved by home country priority areas).

Australian Leadership Awards (ALA)

Australian Leadership Awards are a new regional scholarship and training scheme for future leaders aimed at enhancing mutual undertanding, knowledge and innovation and building partnerships within the Asia-Pacific regional.

Students apply directly to the University for admission and to AusAID (Canberra) for the scholarship.

Scholarship applications must reach AusAID by 31 July 2006 for study in 2007, and should include an offer or conditional offer of placement from the University.

Australian Partnership Scholarships (APS)

APS is a scholarship program set up by the Australian Government under the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development (AIPRD), a post-2004 tsunami initiative. This program is open to all Indonesian public sector employees, and employees of private universities and NGOs for the purpose of increasing the human resource capacity of Indonesia in the broad areas of Economic, Governance, Public Sector Management and Education, as part of on-going development cooperation between Indonesia and Australia.
