Media Skills Workshops

The Communications and External Liaison Office (formerly known as the ANU Media Office) runs regular media skills workshops for ANU staff. Participants in these free sessions will learn how to generate and make the most of news coverage, as well as covering essentials like media release writing and interview techniques.

Media skills workshops for academics will be held at the Chancelry from 9.30am to 11.30am on the following dates in 2008: 13 February, 12 March, 9 April, 21 May, 11 June, 9 July, 13 August, 10 September, 8 October, 12 November. These sessions are designed for people who are likely to be interviewed by journalists.

Workshops for general staff will be held on the following dates: 23 April, 23 July, 22 October. These sessions are for people who are unlikely to be interviewed by journalists, but would like to learn more about getting a story covered in the media.
