IARU Global Summer Program
Lead: ANU, Yale and NUS
The IARU is currently developing a Global Summer Program (intensive periods of study coinciding with the northern hemisphere summer break) for students from member universities. These are expected to be for a period of 5-8 weeks, and will allow participating students to gain credit towards their qualification. It is anticipated that the first Global Summer Program will be held in July-August 2008.

IARU Sustainability on Campuses
Lead: ANU, NUS
At the IARU President's meeting in March 2007, Presidents signed off on a suite of Campus Sustainability Principles and objectives designed to help improve the environmental performance of partner universities.
Included in these principles is a commitment to work towards international best practice in campus sustainability, promote ecological literacy, and work together to exchange information and establish common sustainability metrics.
Working groups have been established to put these principles into action. ANU is involved in the analysis of ecologically sustainable design standards and the development of global sustainability metrics for IARU partners.
ANU-Yale Internships
As part of the IARU Sustainability on Campuses initiative, the Sustainability Offices at Yale and ANU have developed a student exchange program during the Yale summer break.
